Chef Christophe GOBIN
Christophe was born in Rochefort.
He was an apprentice in Soubise,
a little village on the other side
of the Charente, in a restaurant
called Le Soubise.
Madame Benoit, head chef of the
restaurant, which had a good reputation
in its day, taught him the basics
of his chosen profession.
Afterwards, he perfected his professional
skills by doing alternate winter
and summer seasons before finally
becoming head chef at Cap Nell some
ten years ago.

Nelly et Christophe
Nelly is the real boss ! She
looks after our clients with real
talent: don't hesitate to leave a
few words in the visitors' book because
she really appreciates that. After
her two daughters and her husband,
it's the clients that she loves !
She was trained at the Hotel School
in Royan and has always worked in
this occasionally difficult profession
- it's her favourite drug, she says.
Christophe, in other words
me, runs the business: accounts, personnel,
management as well as keeping an eye
on events (and tastes !) in the kitchen.
